Hassinger Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation is looking to add 1-2 LVT to our team!

Hassinger Equine
is a busy exclusive sports medicine practice based out of Aberdeen NC. Hassinger Equine has a full service rehabilitation facility as well as two fully stocked mobile clinics that work at AQHA and USEF shows across the country. As well we travel regionally for "farm calls". We provide the latest in sports medicine to top equine athletes and clients across the country.
Hassinger Equine is looking to fill 1-2 positions. One would be a full time position where the technician is willing to travel to horse shows a majority of the time (35-40 weeks/year). The other would be part time to potentially full time with splitting time between the rehabilitation clinic and traveling when needed (likely around 20 weeks a year). Duties required would be excellent horse skills, communication skills, basic computer and record keeping skills, ability to place IV catheters, take vitals, give medications, monitor medical cases, take radiographs and assist the doctors when needed. While we are primarily a sports medicine practice, we do see a lot of medical cases that we would need a LVT to manage while the doctors could continue to see lameness cases. Additional skills that would be beneficial would be a knowledge of sports medicine cases, rehabilitation tools (water treadmill, salt water spa, ex), and an understanding of the horse show industry.
All travel expenses, meals and lodging are covered during times of travel, licencing fees, and CE requirements are covered by the clinic. Excellent salary and potential for raises are available.
